Songs of Descent is out now! \u00a0Weather delayed the project a bit so we are about a week and a half behind with Revolver USA \/ Midhaven Mailorder and Ebulltion but both should have the record stocked and ready to ship by the 24th of February. \u00a0I am extremely sorry about an inconvenience this may cause. \u00a0If you are interested in placing a wholesale order direct just get in touch at forcefieldrecords@gmail.com. \u00a0The band is currently wrapping up an east coast tour with plans to head out March 8th – 16th for a trip to Austin and back followed by a full US tour in May that will include some dates with new ex Gaza upstarts Cult Leader (Deathwish Inc.).<\/p>\n

We were fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to help with Argentinum Astrum’s new record and first effort as a three piece. \u00a0We have known these guys (and gal) for a long time and it really was a perfect storm as far our partnership went. \u00a0The band recently played record release shows in Richmond (picture above courtesy of Tony Lynch) and Knoxville. \u00a0We only have a limited amount of copies available in our web-store so move quick. \u00a0Two of the three tracks can be streamed via Cvlt Nation<\/a> and Pitchfork<\/a>.<\/p>\n

IV. WINDHAND<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Windhand are currently gearing up for a string of dates around SXSW and then a European tour around Roadburn, once back home they will be making an appearance at Maryland Death Fest. \u00a0We recently did a small re-press of 150 on clear with purple tint vinyl that is limited to the band’s March tour (50) and Revolver USA \/ Midhaven mail-order (100), the jackets and inserts will be mixed from various previous pressings as we use up old stock. \u00a0We also have another re-press in production that will be on orange vinyl.<\/p>\n

VI. UPCOMING<\/strong><\/p>\n

2014 will be one of the busiest years in Forcefield’s existence. \u00a0This July we will be releasing Bastard Sapling’s sophomore DLP in conjunction with Gilead Media. \u00a0The band recently finished recording at Developing Nations in Baltimore, MD with Kevin Bernsten (Ilsa, Triac, Mutilation Rites, Magrudergrind), conveniently enough during the polar vortex of 2014. \u00a0Following that we will be releasing the debut solo LP of Dorthia Cottrell (Windhand) this August which is currently in the tracking process at Snake Oil Recording in Richmond, VA. \u00a0Also on the docket will be debut LPs Organ Donor and Unsacred. \u00a0We hope to keep plugging a long and announce more records in the coming months. \u00a0Forcefield is thirsty for more, please drink with us.<\/p>\n
