CITY OF SHIPS is wrapping up the Translation Loss Tour in the next week.

CANNABIS CORPSE, SOURVEIN, and CITY OF SHIPS are all gearing up for Europe, CANNABIS CORPSE this February, SOURVEIN and CITY OF SHIPS this spring.

CANNABIS CORPSE will also be doing a California weekend upon return to the states the last weekend in February.

INTER ARMA has posted March tour dates to Chicago and back as well as a northeast weekend in April to Boston, NYC, and Philly with BATTLEMASTER and BASTARD SAPLING.

COUGH will be heading to Florida and back this March.

BALACLAVA is looking to do some weekends starting in March hit them up.

INTER ARMA and BASTARD SAPLING have both posted dates for their full US tour this summer.

In other show news, Heart of Winter Fest is this weekend in Richmond and should be a BLAST a handful of forcefield bands will be playing.  VINCENT BLACK SHADOW will be playing Aural States Fest this weekend in Baltimore.  CITY OF SHIPS will be playing SXSW in March.  SOURVEIN and THE WOUNDED KINGS will be playing Roadburn Festival in April.  COFFINS will be playing Maryland Death Fest in May.

STORE UPDATED –

We put the COUGH DLPs back up for sale in our store, we got a handful back from Very Distro when they folded so go check out our store we only have 20 left so get them while we got them.  We also have put up both the BALACLAVA and WAYWARD records for sale.  Besides our releases we have over 30 new 12 inches that hit the store, so go check it.  We tried to keep the records as cheap as possible.  We will be updating the 7”, 10”, and CDs within the coming weeks.  Also just a heads up we are running low on the TENEMENT / FRIENDLY FIRE 7” and we don’t have any immediate plans to repress them.

–CANNABIS CORPSE “Blunted At Birth” 12″ IS BACK! Got the represses in TODAY! We will be running a couple special packages, which are up now. One is the record, a shirt, and a limited edition back patch, the other with just the record and the backpatch. All are up in our store now. Expect it to be available through all our distributors within the next few weeks. They are currently half way through their full US tour. Europe, they are coming to smoke you out of house and home in 2010. They will have these records for some of the remaining dates on the US tour but I can’t make any promises on anything. –THIS BLACK BOX “reconstruction” cassette tape, stoked to do a tape for a bunch of great dudes playing some sweet catchy melodic hardcore punk. Should have these in by their release show this weekend (October 25th) in Richmond w/ Static Radio NJ. I believe they have the whole EP up on their myspace. Winter tour to Texas and back January 3rd to the 16th. Hook it / Check it!

–THE WAYWARD 7″, not sure I ever announced it because final details were still being worked out but we are moving forward on this and I’m extremely stoked. I have known these guys for such a long time, shit probably around the time I truly began getting involved in the “punk scene”. I’ve loved everything the dudes have ever done as a band and more so as friends and human beings. I am going to do my best to expedite this one and have it out asap but still do it the justice it deserves. They have recorded and have art in the finishing stage.

–JUICE TYME! final tour!!!! Fucking bummed to announce JUICE TYME! will be parting ways but not before one more tour going down to Florida and then out to Chicago and back January 1st to the 10th. Don’t miss this shit, YOU WILL REGRET IT!

–CITY OF SHIPS is playing Gainesville Fest then heading west hitting all of the west coast and southwest Nov 3rd to the 23. For 2010 they will be doing a few east coast dates with Rosetta and Battlefields January 15th to the 24th (emulate_booking@hotmail.com) followed by a trip back over the pond to Europe March 29th to April 19th (mike.persilbooking@gmail.com). They got a new full length record out via Sound Study / Translation Loss, peep both them on the road and the record, I put money on neither disappointing.

–BATTLEMASTER is touring to Texas and back January 9th to the 23rd with LOCUSTA. Hook it / Check it! New 7″ split out soon via Mirror Universe with fellow RVA shred heads INTER ARMA.

so after the INTER ARMA and the WAYWARD records we will be slowing things down for some much needed R and R. I am hoping to do some traveling and reflecting and come back with a clear head, ready to destroy minds next summer. What we got lined up has me SUPER excited, here it is!

Been awhile anyway, we have two new full lengths that are now OFFICIALLY OUT!  We are extremely happy and honored to be able to be working with TOURNAMENT and INFERNAL STRONGHOLD.  Both releases blow our mind with every spin we give them and more improtantly both camps consist of the most stand up of individuals.  You can pick up both releases through our webstore as well as a handful of distributors that include Revolver USA Distribution / Midhaven Mailorder, Relapse Distribution, Robotic Empire Distribution, Very Distribution, as well as a handful more.  We have a few distributors to be announced soon that will be carrying both releases.  Both records can be picked up locally in Richmond at Vinyl Conflict, Plan 9, Deep Groove, and Rumors Boutique.

In addition we would like to apologize for a few mail order delays that have happened over the past month, the people who have had to wait we have tried to rectify the situation with a few goodies that we had lying around.  I have personally had a few family medical situations as well as functions (Congratulations to both my brother Mike and my new sister Sarah on their recent wedding) that have come up and kept me out of Richmond as well as out of the FF grind.  On that note anyone still missing an order from us should be recieving it soon, all US orders have been bumped up to priorty and a few of the longer delayed, will like I said earlier have some additional stuff in there.

We updated a bunch of the band sites on our website and added new reviews for INFERNAL STRONGHOLD, TOURNAMENT, COUGH, LORD BY FIRE, CANNABIS CORPSE, and OUTCLASSED and will be updating more of the band sites as well as the whole website in general in the coming weeks.  We should have a bunch new reviews surfacing soon and are extremely excited to see what everyone thinks of our new stuff as well as some of our not so new stuff.

1)   SORRY, SOO SORRY, FOR MAIL ORDER DELAYS!!  ALL MAIL ORDERS and WHOLESALE ORDERS WILL SHIP TOMORROW 06/09/2009!!  I was out of town visiting friends in Pittsburgh (big ups to Bearacougar dudes, Ed Hochuli dudes, Who Goes There? dudes, Pansori dudes, Liquid Limbs dudes, City of Ships dudes).  If you have been waiting awhile on a mail order expect some free FORCEFIELD shit thrown in there for the delay.  Once again we are so sorry for the delay.

3)  TOURNAMENT, INFERNAL STRONGHOLD, and BALACLAVA releases are all right around the corner,  TOURNAMENT is having a record release party June 18th and 19th in New York.  INFERNAL STRONGHOLD will have their new record on their upcoming full US tour this July and August.  The records will be officially out everywhere this August 18th.

4)  We have currently started work on the INTER ARMA full length we are awaiting art and mastering and hope to have this out everywhere this September.  We also hope to have the 2nd press of CANNABIS CORPSE’S “Blunted At Birth” 12″ available this September as well.

5)  We lied on nothing else coming out in 2009, we actually have 3 to 5 releases that are starting to take shape for this Fall and Winter.  We love dudes and records so going on hold just didn’t seem right, so get stoked cause it should be some killer stuff.  In addition we are not looking for any new bands or projects we are swamped and lined up with projects that we are stoked on with people we care about.  So after the “Blunted at Birth” 12″ LP we will be doing no less than 3 more releases before 2010 and no more than 5.  In addition we will also be doing a tape release this summer for Richmond punk band, THIS BLACK BOX which is not part of the upcoming fall/winter stuff.

6)  Lastly I would like to announce that FORCEFIELD has now gone back to a triumvirate.  FORCEFIELD came into this world as a three man operation and thankfully we are returning to that formula.  Stoked to announce new members of Forcefield operation in Mark and Wilbo.

**FORCEFIELD will be out of town and out of operation the weekend of June 17th-June 20th.  I will be in New York for the TOURNAMENT record release parties while Wilbo and Mark will be getting their minds blown by the best show Richmond has seen all year in INTER ARMA, US CHRISTMAS, VALKYRIE, and the YOUNG SINCLAIRS followed by the one and only NO WAY FEST.  Brandon and Lauren did an amazing job this year on the NO WAY FEST lineup, so check that shit out.**
